About the Role

Mircom Group of Companies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Demand Generation to join our team. As a key member of our marketing department, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase brand awareness, engage leads, and drive interest in our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Demand Generation Strategies: Create and oversee the annual plan, budget, and schedule for demand generation activities, including events, content marketing, and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Lead and Manage a Team: Lead and manage a team of demand generation and event marketers, setting and tracking goals, and providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive performance and achieve targets.
  • Oversee Industry Events: Oversee the industry event strategy, including a mix of Mircom-owned client events and an annual calendar of industry trade shows.
  • Develop and Execute Digital and Account-Based Marketing Plans: Develop and execute digital and account-based marketing plans, including SEO, email marketing, social media, and content marketing.
  • Manage External Agencies: Manage an external agency to oversee the delivery of digital, creative, and technical services, including budget allocation, targeting strategies, and performance tracking.
  • Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital marketing, evolving into Mircom's demand generation expert.
  • Oversee Website Operations: Oversee website operations, ensuring it serves as an effective demand generation tool, managing SEO, content, technical performance, branding, and design.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of demand generation efforts.
Requirements and Skills
  • Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree: Post-secondary diploma or degree in marketing, business management, or a related program.
  • Minimum 5 Years Experience: A minimum of 5 years experience in marketing with a focus on demand generation and events.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience leading and managing a high-performing marketing team/business unit.
  • Proven Track Record: A proven track record in marketing achieving results and business objectives.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Experience working in a manufacturing setting is an asset.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the Fire, Life Safety, and Security industry is an asset.
  • Marketing Automation: Familiarity with marketing automation, including ActiveCampaign, Hootsuite, is an asset.
  • Communication and Project Management Skills: Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel for live events, regional office visits, and field marketing.
