Risk Management Specialist

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL), a co-operative that helps local businesses grow and thrive, is seeking an experienced Risk Management Specialist - Asset Protection to join its Capital Optimization team.
About the RoleThis permanent position offers a hybrid work arrangement based in Saskatchewan. We are open to exploring remote work arrangements with candidates within Western Canada who can build relationships, educate people on programs, policies or procedures that help keep an organization safe, and work independently as part of a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate risk management and control systems at local Co-ops and FCL locations to enhance asset protection awareness using risk and compliance assessment processes.
- Identify risks, evaluate their degree, and develop solutions to mitigate those risks in areas such as internal & external crime, losses due to human error, physical security, and incident & emergency response.
- Provide comprehensive reports to facility management to validate current programs and present opportunities for risk improvement.
- Support the development of the asset protection strategy and create guidelines, procedures, and policies to help local Co-ops establish their own internal asset protection programs and standardize Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) asset protection practices.
- Communicate, educate, and encourage senior management teams to adopt proposed FCL asset protection programs at their location and collaborate with FCL location management teams to implement these programs.
We seek a candidate with 3–6 years of experience in Risk Management who holds a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education and experience). A designation related to asset protection or risk management would be considered an asset.
