Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Truck Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Davidson Contract Services. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of commercial transport truck systems;
  • Inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions;
  • Reviewing work orders to determine the necessary repairs;
  • Testing automotive systems and components to ensure they meet manufacturer specifications;
  • Estimating parts and labor costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs;
  • Performing scheduled maintenance service on trucks to prevent breakdowns;
  • Completing reports to record problems and work performed;
  • Couching and instructing apprentices in the art of truck maintenance;

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in heavy-duty equipment repair and maintenance;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose complex issues with commercial transport trucks;
  • The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors;
  • A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace;

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) matching program.
