Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and assign field employees to fill staffing shortfalls and short-term contracts, adhering to policies and collective agreements.
  • Book off and on employees from the database, ensuring accurate scheduling and timekeeping.
  • Problem-solve situations concerning no call-no-shows, double bookings, and other operational concerns.
  • Process and assign new employees to entry-level field positions.
  • Monitor and support special events, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Authorize overtime to cover shifts and maintain optimal staffing levels.
  • Build and maintain schedule templates for respective sections, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with pay processing, including overtime, reverse overtime, shift approvals, and contract/position errors.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to employees and supervisors, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with excellent telephone etiquette and customer service.
  • Self-motivated, able to function with minimum supervision in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Advanced organizational skills, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with previous managerial experience considered an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with experience producing timesheets and schedules.
  • Previous experience in a dispatcher/call center environment, with intermediate-advanced computer skills.
  • Basic understanding of requirements for special security events, including crowd/traffic control, powers of arrest, Smart Serve, and Liquor laws.
  • Reliability security clearance, with the ability to obtain if necessary.
