Senior Proposal Strategist

**About the Opportunity:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at EightSix Network. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in hydro power generation and commercial sales to drive business growth and success.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, marketing, and project management, with a proven track record of winning orders and building relationships with customers in the hydro power industry.
**Job Summary:**
In this role, you will be responsible for leading proposal teams to develop and deliver high-quality proposals to clients. You will work closely with subject matter experts, commercial managers, and the legal team to ensure the completeness and quality of proposals.
You will also be responsible for negotiating and forming partnerships/consortiums with external companies, establishing winning strategies, and ensuring that all essential elements of proposals have owners and progress is tracked based on the proposal schedule.
**Responsibilities:**
- Lead proposal teams to develop and deliver high-quality proposals to clients;
- Negotiate and form partnerships/consortiums with external companies;
- Establish winning strategies and ensure they are followed by the proposal team;
- Ensure all essential elements of proposals have owners and progress is tracked based on the proposal schedule;
- Assist in preparing preliminary project schedules to ensure realistic and well-thought-through execution plans;
- Organize and lead internal meetings according to ANDRITZ Proposal Management Processes;
- Develop recommended selling prices based on assembled costs and identified risks;
- Perform technical risk analysis and prepare mitigation plans for identified potential project execution risks;
- Challenge supporting teams on proposed solutions and costs;
- Act as client's main technical point of contact during proposal preparation, clarification, and final negotiations;
- Prepare internal bid approval application submittal to upper management;
- Represent the proposal and the proposal team with local management and the customer;
- Submit offers and participate in client negotiations (inclusive of getting the contract signed);
- Update all key proposal documents to reflect the 'as-sold' condition;
- Transfer seamlessly to the execution team upon contract award.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience;
- Minimum of five years of experience in sales and/or marketing in hydro power generation or similar industry;
- Demonstrated success in winning orders and building relationships with customers in a similar environment;
- Familiarity with commercial and contractual specifications;
- Project Management skills - ability to handle multiple complex tasks daily;
- Effective communication skills (oral & written) in a multi-stakeholder environment;
- Proven leadership ability within a team context;
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, initiative, and creativity;
- Commercial contract knowledge and strong negotiation skills;
- Good technical presentation skills;
- Knowledge of products, technical aspects, and market-related to hydroelectric business such as protection systems: PLC-based control systems, SCADA system, generator voltage regulation (Excitation system), turbine speed regulation (Governor system).
