Director, Portfolio Management and Analytics

We are seeking a highly skilled Director, Portfolio Management and Analytics to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of portfolio management and analytics strategies to drive business growth and risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Portfolio Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor and analyze portfolio performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement to inform business decisions.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Business Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop strategies to drive growth and revenue.
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage a team of analysts and professionals to achieve business objectives and develop their skills and expertise.
- Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, business leaders, and external partners.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of business strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Performance Metrics and Reporting: Develop and maintain performance metrics and reporting to measure business success and identify areas for improvement.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, economics, or mathematics.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in portfolio management, risk management, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Leadership: Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and analyze business data and trends.
