Executive Director- Total Portfolio Management

We are seeking a seasoned Executive Director to lead our Total Portfolio Management team. As a key member of our investment team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the investment strategy and portfolio construction process for our defined benefit pension plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and recommend asset mix allocations to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) that provide engineered outcomes based on competing objectives and constraints.
  • Lead strategic Asset Liability Management (ALM) studies with a combination of quantitative modeling, scenario analysis, and qualitative assessment.
  • Provide hands-on support to operationalize analytical, modeling, and performance monitoring capabilities to support the Total Portfolio Management function.
  • Monitor overall plan leverage and ensure adequate high-quality liquid assets are available for collateral management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience within a large pension plan, endowment, investment/actuarial consultancy, or asset manager.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, actuarial science, finance, accounting, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CFA, actuarial, or other relevant designations.
  • Expert knowledge of capital markets and public asset classes, including liquid alternatives.
  • Proven capabilities in running analytical functions and comprehensive understanding of pension plan and/or institutional investing.
