About the Role

Grouse Mountain is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snow School Team Lead to join our team for the winter season. As a key member of our Snow School team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences, leading a team of instructors, and ensuring the smooth operation of our snow sports programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of snow sports instructors, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure excellent guest experiences.
  • Program Management: Assist in the coordination and delivery of snow sports programs, including scheduling, staff supervision, and guest communication.
  • Guest Service: Provide exceptional guest service, ensuring that all guests have a positive and memorable experience on the mountain.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with guests, staff, and management, ensuring that all needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Ensure that all safety protocols are followed, and risks are mitigated to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for guests.
Requirements
  • Experience: 4+ seasons of experience working as a ski/snowboard instructor, with a minimum of 1 season in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Certification: CSIA/CASI Level 2 Certification (or international equivalent) and proof of current certification.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for long periods, lifting, and working in inclement weather.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests, staff, and management.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, providing support and guidance to colleagues as needed.
