Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Orangebird Building Maintenance Inc. As a key member of our outdoor operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of grounds maintenance professionals to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to ensure our properties remain well-manicured and safe.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Conduct thorough assessments to determine resource requirements for various projects.
  • Tender and Administer Contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Source and procure necessary materials and equipment to support ongoing operations.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Site Environment: Outdoor work environment.
  • Area of Work Experience: Snow removal.
  • Area of Specialization: Grounds maintenance.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, excellent oral communication, initiative, judgement, and team player.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months, permanent position, 40 hours per week, English language.
