This key role is responsible for overseeing the hospital's financial services, including budgeting, auditing, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will also lead the development and implementation of strategic financial plans to support the hospital's mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to the hospital's Senior Leadership Team
  • Oversee the design, execution, and effectiveness of internal controls to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies
  • Ensure corporate and financial services are aligned with the hospital's mission, vision, and strategic plan
  • Lead the budgeting and audit processes to ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with applicable standards and requirements
  • Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with community and regional partners, government ministries, and Ontario Health East staff

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Commerce, Administration, or a related field (Masters of Business Administration preferred) and a professional accounting designation (CPA). A minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive senior management experience in the Ontario hospital sector is required.
