Our cloud-based accounting practice seeks a highly skilled Accounting Team Lead to oversee our team of professionals dedicated to delivering accurate and timely client accounting services.

The Role

This full-time position involves managing the daily operations of one of our accounting teams, ensuring seamless communication and execution of accounting activities with various stakeholders, including clients, cross-functional teams, and technical teams. You will work closely with SME clients, CFOs, account managers, and technical teams to drive optimization and compliance within the practice.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the daily operations of an accounting team, overseeing the review and analysis of financial data and reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting principles and standards.
  • Lead complex accounting tasks and solve accounting and client issues, continually identifying opportunities to streamline and improve the accounting process for increased efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to understand their unique accounting requirements and ensure their needs are met.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members to achieve professional growth and development.

Your Ideal Profile:

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a range of small and mid-sized organizations.
  • Experience working for an accounting or bookkeeping firm, during which you managed a portfolio of clients.
  • Experience as an accounting supervisor or team lead.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (GAAP, IFRS, etc.), and cloud-based accounting packages.
  • A proven track record of driving optimization and compliance within a practice.
