Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Heritage Family Dental Centre. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for dental examinations by ensuring they are comfortable and informed about the procedure.
- Supply Management: Order and maintain dental and office supplies to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Instrument Preparation: Prepare dental instruments and filling materials for use during procedures.
- Record Keeping: Record dental procedures performed on patients and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, dentists, and other team members to ensure seamless care and coordination.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform reception and clerical duties, including scheduling appointments and confirming patient information.
- Radiology: Take and develop X-rays as required for patient care.
- Financial Transactions: Invoice patients for dental services and manage financial transactions accurately.
- Accessibility Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Newcomer Support: Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Youth Support: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
- Veteran Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
- Indigenous Support: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Mature Worker Support: Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
- Visible Minority Support: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
