Sharing Smiles Dental is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for dental examinations by explaining procedures, taking medical histories, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Order dental and office supplies to maintain a well-stocked and efficient dental practice.
- Perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory, including data entry and record-keeping.
- Assist with reception and clerical duties, such as answering phones and responding to patient inquiries.
- Schedule and confirm appointments to ensure timely and efficient patient care.
- Take and develop X-rays to aid in dental diagnoses and treatment planning.
- Invoice patients for dental services in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a dental or healthcare setting.
- Ability to work on-site and maintain a high level of patient confidentiality.
