Cloud Networking Support Specialist

We're seeking a Cloud Network Support Specialist to provide exceptional technical customer service support for Google Cloud Platform products and solutions, including networking and related services. As part of our global 24x7 support organization, you'll work in a blended call center environment, providing real-time technical assistance and networking support over the phone and via online communications based on client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve client technical issues related to Google Cloud Platform products and services
  • Help companies create their applications and programs using Google Cloud technology
  • Strong understanding of Linux system and Windows server administration
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including NAT, DNS, firewalls, routing, load balancing, etc.
  • Strong understanding of network troubleshooting tools, such as ping, netstat, traceroute, dig, route, and package analyzers like TCPDump
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting Linux performance and common Linux troubleshooting tools, such as vmstat, iostat, lsof, strace, etc.
  • Proficiency in Oral and Written English language to interact with the customer base
  • Proficiency in French speaking and writing is an asset
  • College diploma in Computer Science or 2 years of equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with VPN and Virtual Private Clouds
  • Experience with virtual machines, including Google Compute Engine, VMware, Amazon EC2, etc.
  • Experience with automation scripting
  • Familiarity with web and mail protocols, including TLS, SMTP, etc.
