Job Description
We are seeking a Registered Technologist, Medical Imaging, FTT with experience in Nuclear Medicine to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will perform imaging examinations in the modality of Nuclear Medicine, operate imaging equipment, and work effectively within an inter-professional team to provide complete patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology imaging examinations and procedures as required
- Work as part of an inter-professional team with physicians and other healthcare professionals within the hospital
- Work in accordance with departmental radiation safety policies/procedures and guidelines
- Optimize the processes and quality of images provided
- Assume all operational responsibility when on shift
- Assist the Radiologist when required
- Follow proper procedures for care and cleaning of equipment, imaging rooms, and supplies
- Adhere to established policies and procedures of the Department of Medical Imaging at North York General Hospital
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) in Nuclear Medicine
- Bachelor's Degree and Advanced Diploma in Nuclear Medicine Technology approved under the CMRITO
- BCLS certification is an asset
- Membership with OAMRS Specialty Certificate is preferred
- Knowledge and experience with angio catheter insertions, IV skills, and insertion is an asset
- One year of recent post-graduate Nuclear Medicine clinical experience as Registered Technologist including SPECT/CT is preferred
- Recent hospital experience is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment, as well as independently
- Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures to foster a safe and inclusive environment for all
- Demonstrated excellent computer skills
- Bilingualism in French/English is an asset
