Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As part of the Joint Department of Medical Imaging with University Health Network, Women's College Hospital, and Mount Sinai Hospital's Medical Imaging Department, we provide a state-of-the-art environment for leading edge clinical practice, teaching, and research programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce diagnostic imaging exams of the highest image quality possible
- Evaluate and troubleshoot MRI equipment and software issues
- Ensure patient and staff safety in and around the MRI environment
- Provide exceptional patient care
- Work effectively independently and as a team member to maximize scanner utilization
- Consistently document all aspects of MR examinations
- Participate in education of students and participate in research studies if applicable
Requirements:
- Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Medical Radiation Technologist (MR) designation
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Level II certificate
- Cross-sectional anatomy course
- Contrast injection course
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Recent experience as a practicing MRI technologist
- Excellent time management skills, ability to organize work and set priorities
- Ability to cope with physical demands on a daily basis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent problem recognition and solving skills
- Ability to accept varying shifts and responsibilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent teaching skills
Compensation Package:
The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $80,000 - $110,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid vacation time.
