Job Title: Medical Imaging Specialist - Fetal and Neonatal Ultrasound$96,846 - $123,637 per year (estimated salary based on national averages)
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Medical Imaging Specialist - Fetal and Neonatal Ultrasound. As a member of our WBUS department, you will perform fetal and neonatal ultrasound imaging procedures, including call shifts evenings and weekends as needed. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting and maintaining ultrasound equipment to ensure they are performing effectively.
You will be responsible for the care of patients within the department, collecting and verifying patient history and information, and obtaining informed consent when required. You will also prepare and maintain written and electronic reports to document procedures and test results according to departmental policies.
In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues to participate in teaching, research, educational, safety, and quality improvement programs.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you must have:
- A graduate degree from an accredited ultrasound program or recognized equivalent
- Registration as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with CMRITO mandatory
- Certification in OBGYN preferred
- Current BCLS certification
- The ability to work on-call rotation
- Recent related ultrasound technologist experience, preferably with cardiac and/or fetal ECHO experience
- Fetal and/or Pediatric ECHO certification, with a goal of achieving dual certification within 2 years of employment
You must possess excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to foster effective teaching and learning relationships. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to demonstrate initiative and comfort with decision making, problem recognition, and problem-solving skills.
