Community Care Leadership Manager

VON Canada (Ontario) is seeking a skilled Community Care Leadership Manager to lead our team in delivering high-quality care services. With a strong background in community health care and experience managing teams, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of site operational goals and providing leadership to staff.
About the RoleThis role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment with physical activity including lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics. The Community Care Leadership Manager will provide professional and practice leadership to staff and ensure the provision of safe, effective quality client care within their program area(s).
Key Responsibilities- Directs and monitors the delivery of client care services and day-to-day functions and performance of front-line staff in accordance with current regulatory guidelines and VON policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Assists staff or completes risk assessments, investigations of issues, injuries, and reporting related to client or employee concerns.
- Monitors performance related to funder expectations regularly and contributes to the development and implementation of quality improvement activities to achieve performance targets through monitoring of reported metrics.
- Applies working knowledge of the relevant collective agreements and application of local labor rules in daily decision-making.
- Participates in budget preparation, financial performance management, and provides leadership in the promotion of a safe and healthy workplace.
To succeed as a Community Care Leadership Manager, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in community health care and a minimum of 2 years' experience managing teams.
- Experience in community work and working with community partners in a collaborative environment.
- Experience in negotiation, conflict management, financial management, and working with staff and unionized environments.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office software, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and other tools.
- The ability to exercise innovation and identify opportunities by practicing LEAN principles and methodologies.
- Strong public relations and networking skills.
- A personal vehicle or access to reliable transportation and possession of both a current driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance.
- Willingsness to travel regularly during the day as well as periodically overnight to support sites and attend meetings.
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $105,000 per year, based on location and experience. This role also offers opportunities for professional growth and development, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
