Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range based on experience.

About the Role

The Nutrition Care Specialist will play a critical role in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating residents' nutritional care in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, with experience in long-term care settings. They will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive nutritional assessments and developing personalized care plans
  • Providing education and counseling to residents and their families on healthy eating habits and nutrition-related topics
  • Collaborating with the culinary team to develop menus that meet the dietary needs of our residents
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of resident care
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall care and services provided at Waters Edge Community

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with:

  • A degree from an accredited Food and Nutrition university program
  • Membership in the College of Dietitians of Ontario
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care dietary and nutrition regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
