About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety and Environment Advisor to join our team at the National Research Council Canada. As a key member of our Health, Safety and Environment Branch, you will play a critical role in supporting our research centres and corporate branches in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and advice to management and employees on health, safety, and environmental matters.
  • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental programs and policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop safe work procedures.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to identify and mitigate health, safety, and environmental risks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in health, safety, and environmental management, preferably in a research or industrial setting.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.
