We are seeking a highly skilled Plastic Injection Molding Process Optimizer to join our team at IPEX. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing our plastic injection molding processes to ensure optimal production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and process optimization, with experience working with plastic injection molding machines and processes. You will be responsible for evaluating current cycle times, identifying areas for improvement, and developing and implementing strategies to reduce cycle times without compromising product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate current cycle times of injection molding machines and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce cycle times without compromising product quality.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to mold performance, machinery, and materials that impact overall efficiency.
- Monitor and record processing data, including cycle time, machine utilization, and downtime, to analyze trends and drive improvements.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, mold shop, and production teams to implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Completion of post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in a Quality, Manufacturing or Engineering related field.
- Proven experience working with plastic injection and/or blow molding is a must.
- Proficiency in injection molding process parameters, machinery, and mold design.
- Injection Molding Professional Certification is an asset.
