Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Travelodge Quesnel. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration and Room Assignment: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and ensure a seamless check-in process.
  • Front Desk Operations: Process group arrivals and departures, take, cancel, and change room reservations, and provide information on hotel facilities and services.
  • Customer Service: Provide general information about points of interest in the area, answer guest inquiries, and resolve any issues that may arise during their stay.
  • Financial Transactions: Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments to ensure efficient room allocation.
  • Communication: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and provide excellent communication skills to ensure a positive guest experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a hospitality or customer service role.
  • Work Setting: Hospitality industry, specifically in a hotel, motel, or resort setting.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain attention to detail, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, and a team player attitude.
