About the Role

The Inside Sales Manager will lead the inside sales activities in the North American market, with the goal of delivering best-in-class customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a roadmap to continue to evolve Nexans' inside sales and commercial support systems.
  • Responsible for developing the established budget, objectives, and policies.
  • Responsible for the development and use of Key Performance Indicators as they relate to customer & employee engagement and operational efficiency.
  • Work directly and closely with Key Accounts to ensure that customer satisfaction and ease of doing business remain at the center of our external priorities.
  • Play a key role in the execution of the overall account approach and selling strategies to maintain critical business relationships with existing accounts and the creation of new business opportunities.
  • Analyze business performance and deliver recommendations to drive sales growth by using keen knowledge of the market and customer needs.
  • Promote interdepartmental alignment and cooperation to provide best-in-class customer experience, employee engagement, and ensure profitability and cash management are aligned and optimized while working effectively and efficiently as a team.
  • Responsible for Commercial processes as required by ISO9001 and Nexans Internal Audit.
  • Assist in the recruiting, training, and development of employees to meet the emerging needs of the business.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching and set performance goals.
  • Manage the SAP governance and accountability sales function.
  • Sponsor and/or lead the development of IT Requests related to commercial functions ensuring constant prioritization and advocating for resourcing.
  • Support in the development and execution of the S&OP activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 - 7 years of business management/operational responsibilities within a B2B environment leading to a substantial understanding of B2B sales and marketing processes and how it relates to the overall objectives of the company.
  • Previous experience managing a large team of sales professionals.
  • Technical proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and other common platforms.
  • Proven business management and operational experience and skills supporting the ability to work both strategically and operationally while handling several projects and priorities.
  • Demonstrated success in understanding complex operations and executing process improvement frameworks.
  • Preference to utilize benchmarking with demonstrated ability to think analytically with general business acumen; strong planning, project management, change management, and communication skills critical to success.
  • Strong grasp of Digital technology and how it can support and accelerate business objectives and improve results.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Results-oriented, self-starter, and highly motivated.
  • Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
