YOUR ROLE IN THE TEAM

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for spearheading inside sales initiatives in the North American market, aiming to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This role involves utilizing new technologies, systems, and processes to ensure Nexans is recognized as a benchmark within the industry. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our sales strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Inside Sales Manager, your operational responsibilities will include:

  • Creating, implementing, and maintaining a strategic roadmap to enhance Nexans' inside sales and commercial support systems.
  • Overseeing the development of budgets, objectives, and policies.
  • Establishing and utilizing Key Performance Indicators to measure customer and employee engagement as well as operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating closely with Key Accounts to prioritize customer satisfaction and streamline business processes.
  • Contributing to the execution of account management strategies to sustain vital business relationships and explore new opportunities.
  • Analyzing business performance and providing insights to drive sales growth based on market and customer insights.
  • Encouraging interdepartmental collaboration to ensure a superior customer experience and align profitability with operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with commercial processes as per ISO9001 and Nexans Internal Audit standards.
  • Assisting in the recruitment, training, and development of team members to address the evolving needs of the business.
  • Providing mentorship and coaching while setting performance objectives.
  • Managing the sales function within SAP governance and accountability.
  • Leading the development of IT Requests related to commercial functions, ensuring prioritization and resource allocation.
  • Supporting the development and execution of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in business management or operational roles within a B2B environment, with a strong understanding of B2B sales and marketing processes.
  • Experience managing a sizable team of sales professionals.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and other relevant platforms.
  • Demonstrated business management and operational skills, capable of working strategically and operationally while managing multiple projects.
  • Proven ability to understand complex operations and implement process improvement frameworks.
  • Analytical thinking with a solid grasp of business acumen; strong planning, project management, change management, and communication skills are essential.
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies and their role in achieving business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and proactive.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset.
