About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at IMAX. As a key member of our LIVE Install team, you will be responsible for managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery of our immersive motion picture technologies to our theatre partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate equipment deliveries, manpower requirements, and documentation with internal departments and theatre partners.
  • Track project progress, provide internal reports, and schedule updates to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and monitor project schedules, approve contractor invoices, and ensure installations are completed on time and within budget.
  • Forecast installations to inform quarterly and yearly installation budgets.
  • Collaborate with theatre partners to ensure they have all necessary information to coordinate internal teams.
  • Report on project status and forecasted weekly installs to Senior Director of Project Management.
  • Coordinate with Install Team for manpower requirements and schedules.
  • Monitor Fiber Circuit installs with Connectivity PM to ensure timely delivery and installation.
  • Ensure site readiness for equipment installation, confirm equipment access paths, and relay information to IMAX supervisors.
  • Address any issues that arise during the installation process.
  • Issue Installation Summary Reports to Senior Director of Project Management upon project completion.
  • Ensure all project-related documentation is complete, including correspondence.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, ensuring all costs are justified and expenditures are cost-effective.
  • Provide quarterly spending forecasts and LIVE installation reports to finance.
  • Hand system over to Technical Services, providing documentation to start warranty period.
  • Provide feedback to internal departments to improve project execution and reduce costs.
  • Provide monthly reports on each project to various internal departments.
Requirements
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and prioritize information, make decisions, and provide clear instructions.
  • Ability to interact with various cultures and languages.
  • Basic budgeting and accounting skills.
  • Experience with SAP, Smartsheet, and SharePoint.
