Your Role:

As the Project Manager for Live Installations, you will oversee the execution of various projects from initial concept to final implementation. This role requires close collaboration with multiple internal teams to ensure seamless coordination of equipment logistics, workforce allocation, and necessary documentation. You will liaise with our theatre partners and manage project timelines, providing regular updates and reports.

  • Manage the procurement of necessary equipment from internal sources, ensuring clarity in shipping and delivery requirements.
  • Accurately forecast installation timelines to assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual budgets.
  • Ensure that installations are completed within designated timelines and financial parameters.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule for specific live installation tasks.
  • Oversee the installation of critical components, including vendor invoice approvals.
  • Compile and analyze weekly project reports detailing completed installations and commissioning activities.
  • Maintain strict oversight of project budgets, ensuring all expenditures are justified and kept to a minimum without sacrificing quality or client satisfaction.
  • Facilitate communication with theatre partners to ensure they have all necessary information for internal coordination.
  • Report progress and coordinate with the Senior Director of Project Management regarding current project statuses and upcoming installations.
  • Work closely with the Install Team to determine manpower needs and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with the IMAX Live Coordinator to ensure sales orders are processed, invoices are settled, and schedules are updated accordingly.
  • Monitor the installation of fiber circuits, ensuring timely equipment delivery and addressing any significant issues as they arise.
  • Confirm site readiness for equipment installation and relay critical access information to IMAX supervisors.
  • Supervise the installation process, addressing any challenges that may occur promptly.
  • Upon project completion, prepare an Installation Summary Report for the Senior Director of Project Management.
  • Ensure all project documentation is thorough and complete, including all relevant correspondence.
  • Prepare and oversee project budgets, ensuring all costs are accurately accounted for and expenditures are managed effectively.
  • Provide quarterly financial forecasts for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Deliver installation reports to the finance department as required.
  • Transfer system oversight to Technical Services once contractual obligations are fulfilled, ensuring all documentation is in order for warranty initiation.
  • Offer constructive feedback to internal teams to enhance project execution and cost efficiency.
  • Generate monthly project reports for various internal stakeholders.
  • Compile Executive Summaries as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in computer applications, including Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adept at analyzing information, making informed decisions, and providing clear guidance.
  • Ability to engage with diverse cultures and languages.
  • Basic understanding of budgeting and accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Smartsheet, and SharePoint is an asset.
