Job Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing IMAX Live projects from conception through completion. This will involve coordinating with various internal departments to ensure equipment deliveries, manpower requirements, and documentation are in place. The Project Manager will also work with our theatre partners and IMAX's Connectivity PM to track project progress and provide internal reports and schedule updates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage IMAX Live projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure equipment deliveries, manpower requirements, and documentation are in place.
  • Work with theatre partners and IMAX's Connectivity PM to track project progress and provide internal reports and schedule updates.
  • Prepare and monitor project schedules and approve contractor invoices.
  • Forecast installations as accurately as possible to prepare quarterly and yearly installation budgets.
  • Ensure installations are completed to meet scheduled targets and budgets.
  • Prepare, track, and maintain a project schedule outlining specific LIVE rack installs.
  • Coordinate and manage the installation of the Booth Junction Box with our partners or electrical vendor, including approving vendor invoices.
  • Prepare and review a project report on a weekly basis, outlining completed installs and commissioning's.
  • Manage project costs, ensuring all costs charged to the project budget are justified and correct, and all expenditures are made by the most cost-effective means.
  • Provide quarterly spending forecasts for current and following quarters and years.
  • Provide information to finance on LIVE installation reports.
  • Hand system over to Technical Services once contractual commitment has been met, providing documentation to show the system was installed and operating properly to start the warranty period.
  • Provide feedback to various internal departments to improve project execution and reduce costs.
  • Provide monthly reports on each project to various internal departments.

Requirements

  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and prioritize information, make decisions, and provide clear and concise instructions.
  • Ability to interact with various cultures and different languages.
  • Basic budgeting and accounting skills.
  • Experience with SAP, Smartsheet, and SharePoint.
