About Home Instead

At Home Instead, we're dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to seniors in their own homes. As a Caregiver, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients, helping them maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and conversation to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation
  • Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and other daily tasks to support clients' physical and emotional well-being
  • Remind clients of medications and appointments, and accompany them to medical appointments as needed
  • Run errands and assist with grocery shopping, helping clients maintain their independence
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, and toileting, with sensitivity and compassion
  • Support clients with Alzheimer's and dementia, using person-centered care approaches to promote their dignity and well-being

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle to transport clients to appointments and errands
  • Ability to work in a variety of settings, including clients' homes, care facilities, and hospitals
  • Flexibility to work a range of hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet clients' needs
  • Willingness to work with clients who have varying needs, including those with communicable diseases

Training and Development

  • Personal and/or previous caregiving experience is an asset
  • Alzheimer's and dementia training to support clients with complex needs
  • Quarterly training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Nurse-directed care training to ensure high-quality care
  • Client-specific training to meet individual needs

Compensation

  • $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on job responsibility
