Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be a registered dietitian with expertise in diabetes management and education. The successful candidate will provide consultation, assessment, and education services to adult and pediatric patients diagnosed with diabetes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients requiring nutritional intervention and provide treatment recommendations.
  • Monitor and interpret blood glucose levels and laboratory values.
  • Develop and maintain updated nutrition care plans.
  • Provide diabetes education to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Participate in program development, implementation, and evaluation.

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Food and Nutrition.
  • Completion of a Dietitians of Canada approved dietetic internship.
  • Eligibility for College of Dietitians of Ontario membership.
  • Experience in clinical nutrition, consultation, and education for persons with diabetes.
  • Commitment to providing a positive patient experience.
