We're seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Benefits Strategic Leader to join our team at Universities Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in delivering payroll services and providing benefits administration support to our employees and external clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the complete payroll function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee the coordination of group insurance and benefits for Universities Canada and external organizations.
  • Prepare communications for staff and external organizations on all matters related to payroll, benefits, and pension.
  • Participate as a permanent member of our retirement plan committee.
Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree in a related field and three years of prior relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PAYROLL COMPLIANCE PRACTITIONER (PCP) certification.
  • Bilingualism is a strong asset, including English writing skills and verbal communication skills in both official languages.
  • Deep knowledge of payroll processes and employment regulations.
  • Knowledge of a payroll management system such as Dayforce.
  • Prior experience working in a not-for-profit organization is an asset.
  • Prior experience with month-end reconciliation is an asset.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and analytical skills.

The estimated salary for this position is $90,422 based on the national average salary range for a Payroll and Benefits Manager in Canada. This figure is subject to change based on location and other factors.
