Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will play a critical role in coordinating and supervising the operation of community-based mental health programs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the provision of comprehensive services to individuals with mental health disorders across the lifespan. This will involve liaison with local inpatient, outpatient, and community-based services and agencies to promote consistency and continuity of patient care.
As a Mental Health Team Lead, you will provide clinical supervision and support to a multi-disciplinary team, including ongoing and extensive clinical supervision to new clinicians and those with limited experience in this specialty. You will also be responsible for identifying areas for service improvement and facilitating and evaluating quality initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy, and be licensed with the applicable body. They will have a minimum of three years' experience in mental health and addictions intervention, and be able to provide evidence-based therapeutic intervention to clients.
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be able to provide leadership and guidance to the team, and will be committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise the operation of community-based mental health programs
- Ensure the provision of comprehensive services to individuals with mental health disorders
- Provide clinical supervision and support to a multi-disciplinary team
- Identify areas for service improvement and facilitate and evaluate quality initiatives
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic intervention to clients
- Lead and guide the team to deliver high-quality patient care
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy
- Licensed with the applicable body
- Minimum of three years' experience in mental health and addictions intervention
- Ability to provide evidence-based therapeutic intervention to clients
- Leadership and guidance skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
