We are seeking an exceptional pharmacist to join our pharmacy team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. As a valued member of our organization, you will contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient-centered care and exceed patients' expectations.

Your Role
You will play a key role in achieving excellence in the areas of patient-centered care, customer service, workflow efficiencies, corporate pharmacy programs, and contractual requirements of continuing care facilities based on corporate agreements.
Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrating warmth, empathy, and compassion while delivering clinical services focused on continuing care contractual obligations (i.e., disease state management, medication reviews, full scope of practice, reporting, after-hours emergency service).
- Participating in professional programs and collaborating with colleagues to provide excellence in health & wellness services to all patients.
- Initiating care plans, following up, and completing proper documentation.
- Identifying actual and potential drug-related problems through completion of medication reviews.
- Providing education to nursing staff.
- Participating on facility committees, completing biannual medication reviews as part of the care team with Nurses, Physicians, and Nurse Practitioners.
- Ensuring prescription safety by prioritizing technical functions to Pharmacy Registered Technicians and Assistants as required.
- Providing quarterly reports to facility administration, reviewing all medication errors, and completing audits (stat box supplies, antibiotic and antipsychotic use, and wound care).
- Maintaining current knowledge of pharmacy practice, regulatory requirements, and industry trends/developments; attending training as required.
- Adhering to all regulatory requirements, Company policies, processes, and procedures (e.g., OHS, Loss Prevention, CQI).
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
- A valid License as a Pharmacist in good standing in the province of responsibility.
- Injection and First Aid Certification.
- Additional certifications (i.e., Certified Geriatric Pharmacist, Advance Prescribing) preferred.

Location
This role is based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, with regular working hours of 36-40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
