Aecon Concessions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager - Pipelines to lead the pipeline division and design pipeline facilities for our existing and prospective Utility clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead stamping engineer - front-end and detailed engineering design for pipeline projects ensuring compliance to industry standards – pipeline design and technical capabilities, alignment sheets and crossing details, Horizontal Directional Drill design, appurtenance detail drawings, stations, material selection, BOMs.
- Provide pipeline integrity assessments as required.
- Oversee design and drafting activities and ensure consistent quality of work.
- Liaises with designers and field staff to problem solve.
- Financial accountability - develop and manage project and divisional forecasts and budgets.
- Create and implement short and long-term business plans.
- Establish and manage key accounts while maintaining client relationships.
- Develop industry contacts to drive new business, meet with clients to define project objectives, prepare proposals and finalize project contracts, while interacting with clients, vendors, contractors, and fabricators to resolve project issues.
- Prepare Request for Proposal (RFP) packages, validating customer requirements to establish the project's full scope, timelines, effort estimates, and assumptions.
- Manage multidiscipline projects and sub-contractors.
- P. ENG - Registered with Professional Engineers of Ontario.
- Minimum ten years experience in Oil & Gas Industry.
- Strong technical and working knowledge of current industry codes and specifications: CSA Z662 and other pipeline codes.
- Several years of experience in a supervisory role in the oil and gas industry.
- Involvement with the pipeline industry associations such as CSA, CGA & AGA is an asset.
- Proficient with the use of computers and software, including MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills matched with the ability to negotiate and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel for projects.
