Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Palliative Care at Richmond Hospital.

About the Role

In this role, you will provide expert nursing care to patients with complex needs, working closely with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Your expertise will also be utilized to educate and support other healthcare professionals on best practices in palliative care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify areas for quality improvement and implement evidence-based solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of palliative care principles, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in palliative care or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.

  • Competitive salary: $73,000 - $104,000 per annum, depending on experience.
