Assistant General Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Chief Counsel to join our team at Stitt + Zosky. This role will work closely with our General Counsel and other stakeholders to assess and manage risk for the firm.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of practice experience in a large law firm environment, excellent judgment, superior legal research and writing capabilities, strong client service orientation, and the ability to communicate effectively to a broad range of audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage risk for the firm
- Develop internal policies and procedures on risk management
- Design and deliver training on risk management
- Provide guidance to lawyers in all offices
- Research risks of new technologies, including AI
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of practice experience in a large law firm environment
- Excellent judgment and superior legal research and writing capabilities
- Strong client service orientation and ability to communicate effectively
- Strong leadership, relationship, collaboration, and consultation skills
- Litigation experience and fluency in French are considered assets
