Assistant General Counsel

Stitt + Zosky is seeking a highly skilled Assistant General Counsel to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of practice experience in a large law firm environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and manage risk for the firm, working closely with the General Counsel and other stakeholders.
- Develop internal policies and procedures on risk management, design and deliver training, and provide guidance to lawyers in all offices.
- Research risks of new technologies, including AI, and provide recommendations to the firm.
- Collaborate with the Risk Management Committee to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Provide superior legal research and writing capabilities, with a strong client service orientation and excellent communication skills.
- Minimum 5 years of practice experience in a large law firm environment.
- Excellent judgment, legal research and writing capabilities, and strong client service orientation.
- Ability to communicate effectively to a broad range of audiences, with a strong work ethic and aptitude for technology.
- Strong leadership, relationship, collaboration, and consultation skills.
- Litigation experience and fluency in French are considered assets.
