Job Title: Assistant General Counsel

Stitt + Zosky is seeking a highly skilled Assistant General Counsel to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of practice experience in a large law firm environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and manage risk for the firm, working closely with the General Counsel and other stakeholders.
  • Develop internal policies and procedures on risk management, design and deliver training, and provide guidance to lawyers in all offices.
  • Research risks of new technologies, including AI, and provide recommendations to the firm.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Management Committee to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Provide superior legal research and writing capabilities, with a strong client service orientation and ability to communicate effectively to a broad range of audiences.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of practice experience in a large law firm environment.
  • Excellent judgment, strong leadership, relationship, collaboration, and consultation skills.
  • Fluency in French is considered an asset.
