Job Title: Assistant General Counsel

Stitt + Zosky is seeking a highly skilled Assistant General Counsel to join its team. This role will work closely with the General Counsel and other stakeholders to assess and manage risk for the firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and manage risk for the firm, working closely with the General Counsel and other stakeholders.
  • Develop internal policies and procedures on risk management, design and deliver training, and provide guidance to lawyers in all offices.
  • Research risks of new technologies, including AI, and provide recommendations to the firm.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Management Committee to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Provide superior legal research and writing capabilities, with a strong focus on client service orientation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of practice experience in a large law firm environment.
  • Excellent judgment, strong legal research and writing capabilities, and a strong client service orientation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a broad range of audiences, with a strong work ethic and aptitude for technology.
  • Strong leadership, relationship, collaboration, and consultation skills.
  • Litigation experience and fluency in French will be considered assets.
