Job Title: Legal Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team at Linds & Associates Ltd. in Vaughan, Ontario.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our Partners in a busy legal practice, handling various tasks including email and calendar management, meeting scheduling, and document preparation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal administration role and possess strong communication and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to our Partners, including email and calendar management, meeting scheduling, and document preparation.
  • Drafting and Revising: Transcribe, prepare, and revise legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
  • File and Document Management: Maintain client contact and identification information, update legal files, and manage the electronic filing system.
  • Miscellaneous: Liaise with clients, lawyers, clerks, and students, and collaborate with support staff and supervise assistants.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education (College diploma or University degree preferred)
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant
  • Solid understanding of current legal terminology
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Professional communication skills with clients, lawyers, and team members
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
