Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Global Server Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. This role will report to the Manager of Network and Systems Operations and will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our company's global server infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Server Infrastructure Management: Maintain global server infrastructure consisting of virtual (on-premise and cloud) and physical servers.
  • Proactive Monitoring: Proactively monitor, report, and manage the server environment on a day-to-day basis.
  • Issue Investigation and Resolution: Identify and investigate hardware and software issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement an action plan for resolution.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage server backups and disaster recovery plans.
  • Performance Tuning and Capacity Planning: Function as a subject matter expert for performance tuning, capacity planning, and roll-out of new and upcoming technologies.
  • Security and Stability: Ensure the security and stability of the server environment.
  • Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure that the server infrastructure meets the needs of the organization. Train and mentor junior systems analysts.
  • Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Server Standards and Documentation: Enforce server standards, guidelines, and best practices. Create and maintain server documentation.
  • After-Hours Support: Provide after-hour and on-call support as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in server administration and management.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux/Unix operating systems. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and platforms such as AWS and Azure. Experience with server automation and scripting technologies such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Soft Skills: Demonstrated self-starter, able to prioritize tasks and stay organized. Experience troubleshooting complex systems issues, strongly preferred. Must be comfortable working in a collaborative team environment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to work effectively with a cross-functional team. Capable of working well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
