Job Description

Cooke Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Server Administrator to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a global seafood company that values innovation, teamwork, and employee growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and optimize our global server infrastructure, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Monitor and manage server environments, identifying and resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
  • Implement and manage server backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals to design and implement server infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to improve server operations and security.
  • Train and mentor junior systems administrators to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Ensure compliance with server standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Provide after-hours support and on-call support as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in server administration and management.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with server automation and scripting technologies such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Demonstrated self-starter, able to prioritize tasks and stay organized.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
