Key Responsibilities- Infrastructure Provisioning and Management: Design, build, and maintain a secure, robust, and scalable Windows infrastructure for Azure Virtual Desktop and on-premises environments. Implement best practices for monitoring infrastructure and applications, and provide recommendations to ensure availability, performance, and security.
- Security and Compliance: Develop, implement, and enforce security best practices within the on-premises and Azure environment.
- Monitoring: Monitor system performance, conduct regular system audits, and provide optimization recommendations. Implement centralized monitoring and logging. Set up automated alerts and notifications to proactively identify issues.
- Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to internal teams, ensuring their ability to effectively support the Azure Virtual Desktop and on-premises environments.
- Documentation and Technical Communication: Write clear documentation, tutorials, and technical presentations for various stakeholders. Clear communication skills with the ability to adapt communication to different levels of business and technical understanding. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency within the organization.
- Participation in on-call rotation and shift work as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3 years of proven experience with Windows Remote Desktop Services, or as an Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer or similar Azure role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), Azure Networking, Azure Monitor, Azure DevOps, and Azure Security.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop and Server Operating system including Active Directory, Group Policy, Remote Desktop Services.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server beneficial.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager templates, and Terraform.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot complex issues, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
