Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Total Wealth Planner will be responsible for delivering comprehensive financial planning advice and support to high net worth clients, acting as the in-field subject matter expert and champion.
Key Accountabilities:
- Developing and delivering end-to-end goals-based financial plans to clients, including gathering key data, preparing and reviewing financial plans, and presenting related strategies.
- Providing ongoing professional financial planning advice on complex strategies and collaborating with internal colleagues to ensure an integrated approach to financial planning.
- Building professional relationships with external experts and internal stakeholders to drive collaboration and maximize client service.
- Participating in team learning development activities, maintaining high customer service standards, and contributing to a culture of open and honest communication.
- Developing and executing a meaningful employee development plan and maintaining a comprehensive technical understanding of the financial planning process.
Functional Competencies:
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts in an easily understood manner.
- Comprehensive technical understanding and execution of the financial planning process, including investments, asset protection, retirement, estate planning, cash management, and taxation issues.
- Working knowledge of the Wealth Management business line, including the value proposition, products, and services provided to high net worth clients.
- Ability to work independently and within a team to identify opportunities and provide the highest level of service to clients.
Educational Requirements:
- Professional designation: CPA
- University degree
- Accredited financial planning designation (IQPF applicable for Quebec)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a high net worth financial planner
Desirables:
- TEP designation
- Life Insurance license
- Professional designation (CMA, CGA, LLB)
- Canadian Securities Course
- Additional estate and/or tax courses
