Heavy Duty Mechanic Specialist

As a Heavy Duty Mechanic at Disability Solutions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods across North America. About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Automotive and Diesel Service Professional to join our team as a Heavy Duty Mechanic. In this role, you will be responsible for performing major and minor repairs, overhauls, and servicing on all types of vehicles, vehicle attachments, and material handling equipment. This position requires you to work night shifts and partial weekends, as required. You will inspect, service, and maintain intermodal cranes, terminal tractors, vehicles, and equipment in accordance with federal and company regulations. Additionally, you will diagnose diesel/gas engine, electrical, hydraulic, driveline malfunctions and make required repairs using electric and oxy-acetylene welding equipment, lubrication equipment, and other vehicle repair tools and machinery safely and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, service, and maintain intermodal cranes, terminal tractors, vehicles, and equipment
- Diagnose and repair diesel/gas engine, electrical, hydraulic, driveline malfunctions
- Use electric and oxy-acetylene welding equipment, lubrication equipment, and other vehicle repair tools and machinery
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED)
- Diploma of Vocational Studies in Heavy Duty Mechanic
- Diesel mechanic, Automotive, Truck & Coach, Hydraulics experience
- Valid driver's license
- Technical knowledge of diesel mechanics
