About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Miller Paving Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Servicing and maintaining all heavy equipment, including light vehicles, trucks, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy power trains
  • Diagnosing and rectifying problems with equipment on-site or during emergency on-road repairs
  • Performing preventative and predictive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime
  • Documenting daily service activities to maintain organization and efficiency in the shop
Requirements
  • Red Seal Licensed Mechanic certification
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experience repairing hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Possession of own set of tools
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Roadside service experience
  • Knowledge of diagnostic software and electronic documentation
  • Familiarity with welding and fabrication techniques
  • Ozone Depletion Training certification
