Job Description

This role involves managing and maintaining computer assets within the Neilson Group. The successful candidate will oversee asset deliveries, returns, and orders while ensuring smooth onboarding and offboarding processes for users.

The Help Desk Specialist will play a key role in providing technical support to end-users and department leads. This includes handling incoming queries, requests, and project tasks while adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first- and second-line technical support to users.
  • Prioritize, resolve, and manage support tickets while ensuring adherence to SLAs.
  • Oversee user onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including license management, security protocols, and archiving.
  • Configure laptops and workstations with necessary software.
  • Deliver remote technical support to Neilson Group users.
  • Manage asset lifecycle, including purchasing, delivery, and retrieval of equipment.
  • Research, process, and coordinate logistics for asset orders and maintenance.
  • Maintain knowledge base articles and provide clear progress updates.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience in 1st and 2nd line Service Desk or IT Support environments.
  • Strong administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Office 365 cloud technologies, including SharePoint, Exchange, Intune, and Teams.
  • Advanced Windows desktop skills, particularly with Windows 11.
  • Solid understanding of software and hardware with effective problem-solving skills.
