Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at A&W. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food quality meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
- Customer Service
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensure that customer feedback is addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
- Operations and Administration
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
- Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
- Team Management
- Supervise a team of 3-4 food service staff, including food service counter attendants and food preparers.
- Provide guidance and support to staff to ensure that they are meeting their job responsibilities and performance expectations.
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience
- Experience in a food service environment, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure to meet deadlines.
