Content Expert/Curriculum Developer for Human Neuropsychology

Course Expert and Developer Opportunity
Thompson Rivers University, Open Learning is seeking a qualified content expert/curriculum developer to revise and update PSYC 3391: Human Neuropsychology. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of an online course that focuses on clinical and experimental approaches to human neuropsychology.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions to develop a detailed course planning document.
- Revise and/or develop content, including learning activities and assessments, to ensure relevance and appropriateness for an online continuous entry course.
- Create multimedia or other active learning activities to ensure student engagement through experiential learning.
- Choose effective and appropriate resources, ideally digital, and prioritize low-cost and accessible options.
- Accurately cite sources and identify third-party material that may require copyright clearance.
- Follow the guidance of the Instructional Designer on the inclusion of any AI-generated content.
Qualifications and Requirements
- PhD in Biological Psychology or Behavioural Neuroscience is required.
- Demonstration of current and ongoing engagement in the course subject matter through research and/or the scholarship of teaching.
- Recent and substantial experience in biological psychology or behavioural neuroscience.
- Demonstrated ability to write in a clear and consistent style, with grammatical accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and consultative manner.
- Experience or training in facilitating online instruction is an asset.
