Job Title: Expert Curriculum Developer for Psychology Capstone Course
Job Summary: Thompson Rivers University is seeking a highly qualified Expert Curriculum Developer to develop and revise the Psychology Capstone course. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Instructional Designer and other team members to create a comprehensive and engaging course that aligns with the university's learning outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a detailed course planning document outlining learning outcomes, learning activities, and assessments.
- Revise and/or develop content to ensure relevance and appropriateness for an online continuous entry course.
- Design multimedia and active learning activities to promote student engagement and experiential learning.
- Select effective and accessible resources, prioritizing Open Educational Resources (OERs) and digital materials.
- Cite sources accurately and identify third-party material requiring copyright clearance.
- FOLLOW GUIDANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT INCLUSION.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Psychology required.
- Demonstrated expertise in the course subject matter through research and/or scholarship of teaching.
- Recent and substantial experience in psychology.
- Ability to write in a clear and consistent style with grammatical accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively with the team.
- Experience in facilitating online instruction is an asset.
