Landscaping Manager

JS ROMANA LANDSCAPING is seeking a skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our outdoor maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our landscaping services.
Key Responsibilities:- Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of landscapers and ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to complete tasks efficiently.
- Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure our outdoor spaces are well-maintained and visually appealing.
- Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Create detailed estimates for projects, including labour and material costs, to ensure accurate budgeting.
- Organize and Direct Construction of Decks and Decorative or Retaining Walls: Oversee the construction of outdoor structures, ensuring they are built to code and meet client expectations.
- Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Coordinate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, then lead a team to bring their vision to life.
- Maintain Work Records and Logs: Keep accurate records of projects, including timelines, budgets, and client communication.
- Tender and Administer Contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, ensuring clear expectations and timely completion of projects.
- Read Blueprints and Drawings: Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements and ensure accurate execution.
- Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Source and procure necessary materials and equipment to support project needs.
- Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot issues and provide guidance to team members to improve efficiency and quality of work.
- Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient workflows to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Site Environment: Outdoors.
- Supervision: 5-10 people.
- Equipment and Machinery Experience: Chain saw, small engine equipment, sod cutter, tractor mower.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, excellent oral communication, initiative, judgement, team player.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
- Duration of Employment: Permanent.
- Language of Work: English.
- Hours of Work: 30 to 40 hours per week.
